FUTURE PROJECTS The pot of life foundation plan to build a twenty ( 20 ) station dialysis clinic 15 miles west of Benin City along Sakponba road. Pot of life foundation will also build a full service base medical center at Egbokor town. Since the plan was expanded to a full service base medical facility, there are greater land requirements. The hospital will be located on 23.6 acres of land owned by late Igharo Izedonmwen the father and grandfather of the founder of pot of life foundation.We have also secured another 10 acres of land from the community. This 10 acres of land will be develop as resident complex for the advances team that will be building the health center and setting up healthcare programs, and will later serve the medical team that will be working at the hospital. This site of the medical center is something already finalized with Egbokor and the surrounding town community leaders. More discussion is planned with government representatives and to establish the pot of life foundation Nigeria. |

There are many more necessary steps to be taken before groundbreaking can commence on the Hospital site. Pot of life foundation will be working with hospitals in Nigeria and in the west to establish working relationships related to physician residency programs. Pot of life foundation will also be working with community leaders, sons and daughters of the community on preparations prior to groundbreaking ceremony such as organizing fund raising events, adequate work force and planning where public utilities will be placed. FUNDRAISING Pot of life foundation have not organize any fund raising event, we hope to start some fund raising activities in the United States and all over Europe in the summer of next year. Our task in raising funds for the general hospital construction is made much more difficult by adverse publicity rising from few bad apples among Nigerians involved in various fraudulent activities around world and the E-mail scams originating from Nigeria. We who know the merits of this project have to distinguish ourselves from those that give all Nigerians bad name. Pot of life foundation first step is having full transparency for all our financial dealings. Every penny donated as well as supplies, medical equipments including personal time volunteered will be publish in an annual report showing uses and sources of funds. Hospital plans There will be several phases for construction of the new full service hospital. First phase: Egbokor and other surrounding communities will organize adequate work force and preliminary work to be done by them for establishing right of way, location for public utilities, and establishing businesses that will be needed during construction then later serve the medical center employees and the community. Second phase: Construction of the hospital with earliest possible staring date will be announce when Egbokor children convene some time in 2008. This medical facilities projects will be fully accomplish by sons and daughters of Egbokor community with the help from some western volunteers. During construction, a school of Nursing will be opened so the first graduating class is ready to assume work in the hospital when doors open for business. Facilities in this phase will include 30-50 beds acute care unit, 5-10 beds intensive care unit 10 station acute dialysis unit, urgent care unit, emergency unit, radiology unit and all categories of specialty clinics. A system of healthcare insurance will be introduced not only to the community alone but throughout Edo state and Nigeria in general. Third phase: Once the hospital is up running, expansion of healthcare insurance benefit will be arranged. One community at a time will be added establishing of public utilities and economic development coordination. Other major phases of construction will be expanding the hospital capacity to 300-500 beds. A teaching hospital will be opened on the hospital campus .This will complete the mission for the construction but a follow on mission to expand the educational programs will continue.
